It was tears galore yesterday as the remain of Nigeria's super star footballer and most successful Indigenous coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi was laid to rest in his home town in Edo state. Keshi who died at a tender ripe age of 54 on June 7 2016, was a Nigerian football defender. He was also a football manager of the Nigeria national team. He was one of only two people, along with Egypt's Mahmoud El-Gohary, to have won the Africa Nations cup
as both a player and a coach, amongst his numerous achievements.
Keshi was married to his wife Kate for 30 years. She died on 10 December 2015, after battling cancer for three years, it was visible thereafter that Keshi, fondly called "The big boss", has suffered depression ever since. Keshi had a heart attack and died en route to hospital, leaving behind 4 grown up kids.
