In the face of unprecedented climate fatalities currently ravaging our planet, especially the death of thousands of pilgrims from heat waves during the recent Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, Lekki People Magazine revisited a prophetic Interview we had with world renowned Creation Carer and enviromental activist Desmond Malekodunmi, in the month of April 2024, where the septuagenarian warned of the approaching calamities that could befall humanity if we continue to destroy the Earth .

ON THE TERRIBLE WEATHER OCCURRENCES

We are causing terrible damages to nature and she is oblige to give us back double measure. Hasn't the weather been a little too hot recently? Guess what - 2023 is the hottest year ever recorded by humanity and the scientist have told us that this is what we will be battling with if we continue to pour huge amount of pollution into the atmosphere.

"There's a sequence that is going on now. This last El-nino has really shown what damage has been done to nature. You see the recent apocalyptic flood that ravaged Dubai?"

Ironically that is also an indication  of Nature's retributive justice, because when you look at it the other way, Dubai represents the Pinnacle of  oil-wealth civilization. It is therefore very significant that the worst rainfall witnessed so far on Earth happened recently in Dubai (April).

Even as we are talking, fatal climate disasters are occuring  because of the joining of the El Nino which made the earth hotter, and the global  warming that we have caused. All these fatal occurrences are the last of the final warnings.

" Then, the final warnings will come when the next El nino comes along in about 2028, it will trigger off really-really catastrophic consequences all over the world and many coastal nations could be in big trouble by then. By that time the Earth will be hotter, and many many lives will be lost."

THE WAY FORWARD 

 From all the calculations, we  have not reached that point where the earth itself start to self-heat that you can't reverse the process, but we are heading towards that state very fast and that is why we are trying to get into the consciousness of religious leaders because the reasons why all these are happening is because we are not adhering to the fundamental scriptural injunctions which says, to Love God Almighty, and love  your Neighbor. When you truly love God Almighty, you will love and protect nature.

" Humanity needs a heart-transplant. Our ways has to change. We must strive to overcome this excessive thirst for materialism that we have got ourselves caught up in."

 Your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world. We want people to reconsider the damage we are causing around us, to nature, why are we continuing in it? One thing about life on this Earth is that God is not mocked, whatsoever you sow you will reap.

I told you earlier that 2023 was the hottest year ever recorded by man. The scientists have predicted about 30 years ago  that this will happen if we continue pouring poisons into our atmosphere, and we just couldn't stop because of the Money.  

"All influencers in music, movies and across board must hear this message and take it serious and pass it on to as many of their followers as possible"

The way we are exploiting and degrading the Earth is drawing catastrophic disasters upon mankind which may eventually erode any great future we are planning for our kids.
