In a groundbreaking ceremony, the Lagos State Government has officially launched the construction of a 1.3-kilometer road in Ayubu-Bashorun Street, Ilupeju Community, Ijede LCDA, Ikorodu. This milestone project marks a significant step towards achieving Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's vision of transforming Lagos into a 21st-century economy.
As the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, flagged off the project, he emphasized the administration's commitment to rural development and the importance of community collaboration. The road construction, slated for completion within 12 months, aims to enhance road networks, reduce travel time, and curb rural-urban migration.
The Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Honourable Motunrayo Alogba, and community leaders, Baale Oko-Ope and CDA Chairman, Alhaja Hon. Kehinde Fesomu, expressed their gratitude and pledged to support the project's success.
